On October 4th, representing OUBS, Marcela Alves travelled to London to meet with representatives of the Lemann Foundation, who are leading the launch of the Brasil on Campus programme for 2025–2026.

The meeting marked a crucial step in understanding the ongoing restructuring of the programme. This transition phase will shape how Brasil on Campus continues to support Brazilian students at universities across the UK. As one of the main bridges between Brazilian scholars and Oxford’s academic community, OUBS Oxford saw this as an essential opportunity to engage directly with the foundation’s team and ensure that students’ perspectives and needs are part of this new chapter.

Brasil on Campus is an initiative of the Lemann Foundation — a leading Brazilian philanthropic institution that provides diverse scholarship opportunities and supports educational excellence both in Brazil and abroad. The foundation has a strong presence at Oxford through the Lemann Foundation Programme at the Blavatnik School of Government, fostering leadership and research dedicated to Brazil’s development.

The goal was to understand how the Brasil on Campus will work this year and how OUBS can help on the program activities.
