Today we had the pleasure to have brunch at Christ Church famous Great Hall. Built in 1529 by Cardinal Wolsey, it is the University of Oxford most famous dining Hall. Christ Church is the essential place to visit in Oxford. Two of its famous landmarks, Tom Tower, by Christopher Wren, and Oxford’s Cathedral spire, contribute to the city’s celebrated skyline and mark Christ Church as a unique dual foundation; one of Oxford University’s largest Colleges and the Cathedral Church for the Diocese of Oxford
But no one will deny that its most visited bit is the Great Hall, which was the inspiration for Harry Potter Dining Hall. And, other than that, the actual film was filmed on the stunning staircases that lead to the Hall. Feeling the magic and enjoying the great meal, our old and new members sure had a great time at this beautiful place.
We thank sincerely the @christchurchoxford Hall Staff, the Conference officers and Custodians for their warm welcome.

South Parks
Those are some of the lads who came to chill out a bit with us at South Parks to enjoy the end of summer in this lovely city. I hope you all had a good time and survived the football, volleyball and frisbee. Thanks for bringing all the amazing food, specially the “coxinha” and “pão de queijo”, two very traditional Brazilian dishes.

Oxford Retreat
On 8th June, we had our first social event of Brazilians living in Oxford. It was a great opportunity to meet old and new friends, while the pub “Oxford Retreat” prepared some caipirinhas to us. This get together celebrated the re-launching of the Oxford Brazilian Society (OBS) and we are very much looking forward for more social events similar to this.
